Just a quick question -

Does anyone know if the new Edge release of WHM/Cpanel - 11.32 works okay with MailScanner FE (and mailwatch etc) ?

Just asking as I noticed in the changelogs that there appears to have been some work done in this release wrt Mail queues, exim mail throttling and mysql upgrade to 5.5, so I wondered if there was likely to be any interoperability issues ?...

Can we block CIDR on MailScanner ?
We have a lot of SPAMs coming from servers behind the same net-range, CIDR could be a good solution.

Or we have to block IPs, one per line ?

Are there any recommended minimum system specs to run the full mailscanner suite of products?

IE: I am running on an old Pentium D with 2gb of ram. I've only got a few domains who actually use their e-mail system, but nearly everyone would like a better spam prevention system.

Should I see a performance hit if I installed and ran mailscanner?

Where does MSFE store the date for the Server Spam Whitelist and Server Spam Blacklist

This is baffling. I have checked everything I can think of, but all the email that comes to one particular email account of an addon domain never gets the mailscanner score in the header. There's no whitelisting, etc. and the email messages are not too large to be handled by the system. I just see a not-scanned in the header, like this:

X-(hostname)-MailScanner: Not scanned: please contact your...

Where does mailscanner frontend store each users mailscanner settings? Im thinking about disabling mailscanner on the actual server and using a remote one, but still want to allow users to configure their domain settings/whitelists/blacklists, etc from within the plugin and i will just sync/merge it with the remote server.

I just update MailScanner, FE and thought I would finally ask for help on this annoyance. ClamAV always has an upgrade button visible. When it finishes going through the process. Here's the end of the info:

in the FrontEnd we have white / black lists that we could manage for the server, but is it possible to block emails that contains specific words on the subject? and that could be managed like the white/black lists?

I'm new, is I'm glad I found a forum with people who know MailScanner.

By using Mailscanner for over a year is half, it is the first time I time things that perturb trafficking emails.

My concern is this, did you already MailScanner, make spit is I'm almost forced to delete the file for Processing.db that this MailScanner recover normally.

For what it spits out, I tried several methods...

I have email comming from a Scan2PDF printer, from tech@domain.com. The PDF is sometime blocked as Other in Mailwatch.

I tried to add to virus.scanning.rules:

FromOrTo: tech@domain.com no

But since I wish to scan the rest of the domaine, I also have

FromOrTo: *@domaine.com yes

on the file. I tried to place it first or 2nd, dosent seem to work. I Also tried to place it in the whitelist ,...

Since you've added virtual pagination to CSF sure would be nice to see something similar for the MS config file.

I'd like to be able to release emails from quarantine and them arrive to the user's inbox without them knowing it had been quarantined, or without it looking like a completely different email. Sometimes the user doesn't realise the original email is even attached. Is it possible to maintain the same email subject and content exactly like the original email when we release it?

Hello, I have a problem, Enable In Only button doesn't work.
When I press it everything seems to be fine but the mail is still checked for in/out spam.
At the top of the program's interface I have MailScanner Status: Running In/Out Scanning .
How can I fix it?

I've got this set to 30 days in MSFE, but in:
Mailwatch > Reports > Total Messages to date, I'm showing almost 3 months.

In the page ConfigServer MailScanner Front-End I set Keep x days of MailWatch MySQL database entries (0 = disable) to 35 (I use this default for about 2 years)
Since September, 15 my Total Messages by Date keeps growing and it stopped deleting old mails from the SQL database.

I already started/stopped Mailscanner a few times, had also changed from 35 days to 25 days and nothing happens....

I have added several email addresses to the whitelist, because they are erroneously flagged as spam. But they're still being erroneously flagged.

An example is:

newsletters@e.usatoday.com

This appears to be the actual address based on headers, but it doesn't work. The mail is still labeled as Spam. It's basically just an announcement about articles in the latest edition of USA Today.

Ideas?...
