How can we add the unofficial Sane Security Clam Av scripts to mailscanner & Cpanel

Is there any way that you can think of having an option in MSFE to auto install & download them. The manual method is complicated & messy for less experienced server owners
Current standard Clam AV is a bit like a chocolate fireguard and blocks almost nothing, whereas sane sigs are alleged to be very efficient...

I have MailScanner set to check all inbound and outbound email using ClamAV.

I have ClamAV set up to send me an email each day informing me of any possible infections.

For about a week or two now, this email has failed to arrive.

My admins found the problem. ClamAV is apparently blocking itself via MailScanner.

From the maillog:

Our costumer receives some doc files attachments and they're potential viruses but mail scanner front end doesn't quarantine them. Could you help me please?

I am trying to do a search in MailControl for the following:

Search: SUBJECT
REGEX: ^\(.*\)
and search shows No results .

I know that a lot of subjects met that expression but MailControl doesn't show them.

I recently whitelisted a domain (*@strava.com) and the very next email that came in wasn't whitelisted.

After writing a very long support email with example headers and all the information required I noticed that the email didn't actually come from strava.com but @email.strava.com. Thankfully I noticed before pressing send (this time).

My website is currently on a cpanel hostking package. I am having no success using mailscanner,

I have tried to blacklist a few email addresses but have had no success. For testing purposes i blacklisted @gmail.com,unfortunately that did not help as my mail came through within a minute or two.

What is the recommended next step,as I am abit lost at the moment?

I don't want to save any files on the quarantine, I had never before enabled that option and now MailControl even that I have not enabled the Save Messages is saving them. Why?

Right now my /var partition is getting out of space and just the /quarantine directory is using 9.0 GB
9.0G /var/spool/MailScanner/quarantine

Nine GB of wasted space, that is a lot; any way I have set to 1 day...

I have this issue, I am searching an email that I received this morning in MailControl, I searched by subject, IP and From Address and MailControl doesn't show the info, but if I do the search with the same info using Search System Logs inside ConfigServer Firewall the info is there.

Any idea why is this happening?

I took the editing access from the rules files to the root user and even then, when I update msfe, all my rules are lost and I need to do them all again.

How can I avoid this?

I go a weired Problem on one of our Cpanel Servers.
Installed Mailscanner and Mailscanner FE as described here
After customizing mailscanner.conf and enabeling mailscanner I get the message in MailControl that I should enable store message even though I enabled quarantining in mailscanner.conf (quarantine infections, etc.). In MailControl I also see the logged and quarantined messages....

I don't seem to be able to list emails that DON'T match a regular expression.

There is no option for Doesn't match RegEX and using ^ at the beginning of the expression doesn't work.

Please advise

I have Store Messages enabled, and I can see email in the quarantine directory, but when I open an email in MailControl, it always has Message not found in quarantine at the content section, with no options for processing the email.

I forced an update of both MailScanner (v3.14) and MailScanner FE (v7.29), but it did not fix the issue.

What could be causing this?

Mailwatch can't release e-mails anymore

Every time I try to release a false positive to the user's inbox I get the following failure message in Mailwatch GUI:
[SMTP: Invalid response code received from server (code: 550, response: Verification failed for root cannot accept local mail deliveries Sender verify failed)

Is this a bug or is it something that changed in the Mailscanner/Mailwatch...

Since I made the update to version 3.13, the MailWatch is no longer recording the events in the log.

Thank you for making MC into the program that MailWatch had the promise to be but never fully accomplished.

I am noticing a few problems with mail control and quarantined files
If Clam Av detects a virus mail control tells me Message not found in quarantine
This only happens if clam AV detects an actual virus not when it detects a blocked file type which it still marks as a virus.

Using the old mailwatch, I can still release the infected file /email for examination and I can also see & download the...
