Altered RPMs found

Post by ttremain »

I'm guessing it doesn't, but want to make sure.
I've been getting an altered RPMs email lately. Does it have anything to do with this package, which does change much of the antivirus configurations?

Can I go ahead and repair?

I meant to add a little more information about the email contents:

[check_cpanel_rpms] Altered RPMs found on “server.domain.net”.
The system detected problems with the following cPanel-provided files that the RPM controls:
RPM Status Additional Information
exim,4.86,1.cp1148-/etc/antivirus.exim Broken missing c
If you did not make these changes intentionally, execute the following command as the root user to correct them:
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_cpanel_rpms --fix

It's nothing to do with MailScanner, and you can run the suggested fix to correct it. It won't cause any problems for MailScanner.
