Filter quarantine log

Post by ttremain »

I have setup the quarantine log to capture copies of all accepted, and rejected emails.

Is there any way I can filter these results, to filter out emails that meet criteria like Subject content, or from address?

You can use the Reports section in MailWatch to create filters for many different things including subject or to or from address, if that's what are looking for. You can also save those filters to use them later.

Well, that was too easy.

Followup questions:

1) When looking at a message in quarantine, and you decide to make it as "Spam+Report" who is the email getting reported to?
2) Is there a way to automatically have it "delete" + "Spam+Report" on all messages with a score over a certain number, and/or some other criteria?

Spamassassin already auto-learns (but does not report) mail over or under certain score thresholds. I am not sure offhand what those thresholds are or where to find them. You might search the spamassassin mailing list for more info. I don't know if you can force it to report spam but I doubt it.

FYI, I set DKIM checking and fail as Enabled, as well as Sender Verify Callouts, and this caused nothing but trouble, with my clients... Every server under the sun, (so it seemed) needed to be whitelisted because they were either not responding correctly to the callouts, or the DKIM keys were incorrect.

I was sick and tired of getting new complaints every day.... So I disabled the callouts, and DKIM failures... The spam started pouring in....

I updated mailscanner (had been a while) and signatures, let it start learning, and manually marked a few things as spam, and now I am back down to almost no spam in my own accounts. (I cannot yet speak for my clients yet)

Thank you for everything! You have sold me, for a very small price, (cPanel Service Package
+ MailScanner) piece of mind AGAIN. It just took me a little while to figure out how to use it.

I also use your free products, and love them too!

I recommend your services all the time.
