Check Server Security - Apache 2

Post by BornOnline »

I'm getting warnings about mod_security and SuPHP not being installed when it is.
Anyone else see this with Apache 2 and PHP 5?

Wait a sec.. this is a PHP4/5 server. Maybe it's only seeing PHP 4 which does not have SuPHP? Not sure about mod_sec though, it is installed.

Just done some rebuilds and some csf security checklists show suPHP enabled and some don't, yet it was enabled on all and the builds were clean... confused! All are on PHP5

Are you using the deprecated Apache v2.0 or the support v2.2? If v2.0 then there are some issues with the detection in csf. IMO, wouldn't recommend using v2.0.
