Fresh install of MailScanner marking messages as {Definitely Spam?}

Post by HappymanUK »

I've just installed your MailScanner, and e-mails are now arriving marked as '{Definitely Spam?}' - so the checking is definitely working.

How do I set it server wide to delete these e-mails ? - Do I have to manually edit the file:

/usr/mailscanner/etc/rules/spamhigh.action.rules

and change each from deliver to delete ?? - Or is there a better (or easier/quicker) way of doing this ?

Thanks in advance,
Daniel

Use the WHM interface.
Click on MailScanner Front End.
You'll see two actions possible: "Default action for low scoring spam" & "Default action for high scoring spam"

Change the latter from deliver to delete.

Hi,

I don't have the MailScanner Front End in cpanel - I just have the Configserver's free version.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

You'll have to edit the rules files manually. Edit /usr/mailscanner/etc/rules/spamhigh.action.rules and change deliver to delete for all domains for which you want high-scoring spam to be deleted.
