MySQL Error: [Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)]

Hi,

Yesterday, I ran updates to a functioning installation. Afterwards, the service was stuck stopped. Manually stopping/starting didn't get it running again. Tried a server reboot as well, but no difference, so ran a forced update, and this got it running again.

Today I tried to access MSFE, but I get the following error (this has worked for years before...).

MySQL Error: [Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)]

What should I start looking at.

Sorry, that should say when trying to access Mail Control from MSFE that it generates the error...
