How to pause mail processing for Static Router mx deliveries?

I am using cpanel with Mailscanner setup by WaytotheWeb (Sarah) spam filtering for a remote mail server.

The remote mail server is properly configured in localdomain and staticroutes.

Everything is working fine.

I need to temporarily hold all e-mail at the cpanel server while I make some changes to the remote mail server.

How can I hold all e-mail destined for this domain and prevent the mail from moving on to the remote mail server as defined in static routes?

I only need a few minutes, and I don't care mail is paused for a few minutes for all domain on the cpanel server.

If I choose Mailscanner Stop from Mailscanner FE, will mail continue to flow into the cpanel server and be held from mailboxes and remote mail servers until I start mailscanner again?

It would be better to temporarily stop exim and you would also need to stop tailwatchd so that exim is not automatically restarted. Then restart both tailwatchd and exim when you are finished with your changes.
