Mail not working

Today I noticed my /tmp partition was at 90% full. I deleted all the files in it but moved the mysql.sock file out then moved it back. I think I must have removed some crucial file that has to do with the software here and need to know how I fix it.

The only thing in there that would affect mailscanner is the clamd socket. Try restarting clamav.

It was clamd because when I cleared /tmp it removed the clamd socket.

So did restarting clamav resolve it?
