Run:
/usr/mscpanel/msswitch.pl inout
/usr/mscpanel/msswitch.pl inout
Re: /usr/mscpanel/msswitch inout NO SUCH FILE
Thank you.
BTW early this morning exim started failing all together on one system, apparently because of this issue:
Dec 10 08:56:28 exim: exim: -D is not available in this Exim binary

Re: /usr/mscpanel/msswitch inout NO SUCH FILE
Hi there, I ran the MailScanner update this morning (10 am ET) and have just now realized that no email has been delivered on the server all day. I see similar "no such file" errors as this one.
I have temporarily stopped MailScanner and mail seems to be being delivered again.
I have my cPanel set auto-update itself daily. Exim version currently says: exim-4.69-23.1_cpanel_maildir
1) Are my email delivery problems related to the fact that I ran the MailScanner update but am not yet running the patched exim version from cPanel?
2) How do I fix things? Can I revert to the old version of MailScanner temporarily - do you think that would solve it? I would then re-run the update after cPanel updates itself.
3) Is there any way to retrieve the mail that was not delivered throughout the day? It does not appear to be in the mail queue.
Thanks very much for your help.
Kathryn

Re: /usr/mscpanel/msswitch inout NO SUCH FILE
General answers. Not expert ones.
Not advised to try and downgrade MS.
Unless you have a good reason not to update Exim I'd do that first (/scripts/eximup) and re-enable MS and see if the problem is solved. BTW - there is still going to be another Exim upgrade (due to another exploit) from cPanel perhaps today.
If you are running the ConfigServer Mail Queues utility it may shed some light on the question of mail not being delivered previously.
As to the no such file issue - did you run it with the .pl extension?
/usr/mscpanel/msswitch.pl inout

Re: /usr/mscpanel/msswitch inout NO SUCH FILE
Thank you, sawbuck.
Only reason I hesitate to upgrade Exim manually is in case it causes any further problems.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean - I noticed "no such file" errors flying by when I ran "tail maillog" but I didn't copy/paste them so I'm not sure what they said exactly, and since MS is not running right now I can't check again at the moment.
Thanks for trying to help, I really appreciate it.

Yes, I am running ConfigServer Mail Queues - but it only shows 22 undeliverable messages in the queue, not all the mail from today. I am hoping these are hiding somewhere else!If you are running the ConfigServer Mail Queues utility it may shed some light on the question of mail not being delivered previously.

Re: /usr/mscpanel/msswitch inout NO SUCH FILE
Sawbuck, I just upgraded Exim manually and restarted MailScanner. Lo and behold, the server now seems to be delivering 150 messages from throughout the day. Thanks so much for your help!
Re: /usr/mscpanel/msswitch inout NO SUCH FILE
Just to update: it appears that while some mail from today, other messages are not. Some have disappeared, while others bounced back to the server with a message like this below. At least some of the messages were delivered...
----
I'm also seeing this error when I tail Maillog:
Not sure if this is something brand new or had always been there, but any insight is appreciated. Thanks!
