Making sure pure-upload is loaded on crashes and restarts.
I got things out of order and when I first installed it, I restarted FTP before starting /etc/init.d/pure-uploadscript, which crashed FTP until I figured out I had to have /etc/init.d/pure-uploadscript running first. Noticed on a reboot, though, if /etc/init.d/pure-uploadscript crashes (which would ...

Rules Dujour
I noticed on two of my four servers, Rules dujour isn't installed - not sure if the installation was done before CFS was installing it or what, but they no there. Wanted to make sure installing it manually ( http://howtoforge.com/adding-and-updating-spamassassin-rulesets-with-rulesdujour ) was...

Well, that didn't help. The segfault didn't appear, and the log just got too massive to deal with. I reinstalled a few things, and I've set up a cron to clean out the core dumps since it doesn't seem to be affecting whether lfd works, and the dumps aren't impacting server performance. I did see one ...

Wasn't the kernal.
Changed the kernal, and still got a bunch of segfaults overnight. Bleh.
Running strace now - just my luck, it will "fix itself" again now that I'm recording.
Will report back when I have something for posterity - or help.

lfd segfault driving me nuts.
The segfault error I was seeing went away, and then it came back - I'm alerted after temp fills up with massive core dumps. We have this on our 64 bit systems. I just updated the MailScanner configuration file and MailScanner, though running, stopped processing on all three servers. A stop and start of it at the command line gets it all running again - oddly enough, a restart in the MailScanner FrontEnd doesn't. Haven't ...
