csf blocking port although its open
Hi, I am seeing weird issue that CSF is blocking outgoing request on port 443 although its open in configuration. If I disable csf with -x then I can access the resource on that port over remote server . Any thought where to look ? EDIT: Its actually blocking most of the outgoing traffic, just notic...

I guess rule was correct but specifying PORT 25 was not triggering it, they may be using other ports, so when we omitted PORT from it (as per your suggestion), it started working.

I guess the port was the issue, leaving port that way worked and now I am seeing it in action. Thanks for the suggestion.

In /etc/csf/csf.conf try to set TESTING = "0" and then try csf -r

You can easily decide yourself, all you need to find how many concurrent connection are created by per client, what kind of port they use and you can hen decide you firewall policy. Certainly you need to block everything unwanted.

Somehow it is ignore your rules, I had recently done something similar and was easily accomplished using :

Have you made sure all modules are required by CSF are installed ?
