How to whitelist domain from firewall

Hi,

I have a small question. I have my clients sites on the server and I have my own site on that server as well. I have live chat on my site. Now when some one blocked his IP say for failed login attempts for imap or POP or ftp or cPanel. Then that person is not able to access the live chat being on same server where the IP is blocked.

Now can we have something like that where I can white list the domain name which have live chat on it, so even though the users are blocked on the server, they will still able to access the live chat.

Thanks
Brandon

Only IPs or IP ranges can be white listed not domain names.

Do you mean whitelist an IP?

What firewall is installed on your server? If its APF, then APF has two trust based files for the inclusion of IP's.

The allow and deny trust files are located at:

Code: Select all

/etc/apf/allow_hosts.rules
/etc/apf/deny_hosts.rules
