Hello,
I'm real new to owning a domain and a website. I use GoDaddy for hosting my domain in a Virtual Private Server and for domain name registration. They provide me with WHM / cPanel. I've installed CSF because I've been getting hammered by SSH brute-force type attacks daily.
I run Check Server Security and there was a lot wrong with my server. One of the suggestions says I should turn off proxy domains. I turn it off in WHM -> Tweak Settings. This disables all the stuff like webmail.mydomain.com, whm.mydomain.com, cpanel.mydomain.com, etc. Now I have to access those sites by going to mydomain.com/whm, etc.
My question is simple. I wanted to know if there was a way to safely set it up so when I go to whm.mydomain.com, webmail.mydomain.com, etc, it actually takes me to where it used to take me to without using the proxy stuff. Would I create a subdomain and if so, how do I set it up so when I go to something like whm.mydomain.com, it actually takes me to WHM? I've also asked this question on the cPanel forums and I hope that's okay.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Questions about CSF's Check Server Security's proxy domain suggestion
I figured it out by creating subdomains and redirecting them to the various ports. Thanks!
