I'm intermediate with sytem-admin and have a new dedicated server with host gator. (Not a VPS)
I have a default installation of CSF, but many users are complaining that their website is down.
I am able to view the websites on my own computer (i'm probably white-listed), and using some 3rd party website-viewing services.
When i get the IP address from my clients, they are NOT in /csf/csf.deny (or anywhere in /csf for that matter). Client uses some 3rd party monitoring services or website-viewing services, and it times out.
Anyone have any other ideas on how to debug this?
Thanks in advance.

Re: [HOST GATOR] CSF not working on dedicated Server
Still no dice.
I'm seeing some Firewall: TCP_IN Blocked messages in /var/log/messages. But there are no IP addresses from servers i'm trying to connect from.
If this helps anyone, these are other things that sound related (or might solve the problem)
Suggests that HG doesn't work:

Host Gator has their own firewall (i've asked them to disable. STOPPING the service doesn't seem to help)

Re: [HOST GATOR] CSF not working on dedicated Server
Update:
Paid for server hardening.
HG firewall removed. Iptable apparently are broken. Dynamic firewall (LF_SPI = 0) seems to work at least for now until I get iptables fixed.
