Servers with Mailscanner installed complains about The service “clamd” appears to be down.

cPanel WHM V11.50+ expect clamd in /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/clamd

/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/restartsrv_clamd
Service Error
The system could not find the “/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/clamd” binary.

Startup Log
Starting clamd: [ OK ]

clamd has failed. Contact your system administrator if the service does not automagically recover.

This seems to be due to a change in a recent cPanel update. In WHM > Service Configuration > Service Manager, check the box for "Enabled" (but NOT "Monitor") for the ClamAV Service near the top. Under "Additional Services", both the Enabled and Monitor boxes should be checked for clamav.

Keep getting emails about this.

I will force ClamAV update in the hope it fixes it.

That did the trick I have now the option back under Service Manager, and the Monitor service in NOT ticked. Mailscanner is working again, phwww.
