Cannot seem to get the WHM GUI working

I just installed csf on a cPanel vServer (OpenVZ).
I can't access the WHM CSF/LFD GUI.

WHM --> ConfigServer Security & Firewall (click on)

I see
ConfigServer Security & Firewall - csf v7.50

and nothing else. Configuration over GUI is impossible.

/var/log/lfd.log is not available.

GUI is very important for me.

Geo::IP is installed.

That suggests that csf is not installed correctly on the server as that is one of the modules installed by default. Firstly check that none of your partitions are out of space or write locked, then rerun the installation procedure and carefully watch for errors as the problems you are seeing indicate some issue with your server environment.

sh install(.)sh looks fine
but /usr/sbin/csf and /usr/sbin/lfd is not compiled and not available:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Oct 8 22:18 csf.(pl) -> /usr/sbin/csf
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Oct 8 22:18 lfd.(pl) -> /usr/sbin/lfd

I installed csf serveral times properly. Now it's impossible.

I'm speechless. No idea at all.

I tried to install and get running csf/lfd on a new dedicated server.

Fails.

The same problem on a dedicated server:
