Could not connect to database: Access denied for user 'mailw

Mailwatch has been working for years
Including an hour ago
Did a few Config server application updates this am and now
im getting

"Could not connect to database: Access denied for user 'mailwatch'@'localhost' (using password: YES)"

any ideas ?

Sometimes this can be due to the mysql root password containing non-alphanumeric characters, so you could try changing the mysql root password to something containing only letters and numbers.

ive reset the sql root password to alpha and numbers and still get

Could not connect to database: Access denied for user 'mailwatch'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

The only other suggestions would be to reinstall the MailScanner Front-End:

or to remove and recreate the mailwatch database:

reinstall worked

Just to repeat it was all working well till a recent update config server
