csf.fignore not working

Post by voidix »

I must be doing something wrong, because I cannot seem to get csf.fignore to work. I am trying to ignore the following files/folders, but they are still being logged by LF_DIRWATCH_FILE and they continue to trigger warning emails. Here is what I have in csf.fignore:

/home/username/public_html/cgi-bin/script/admin/data/text_dump\.txt
/home/username/public_html/cgi-bin/script/admin/backup/*
/home/username/public_html/folder/error_log

I would like to ignore the text_dump.txt file, the error_log file, and the complete /backup folder. Am I writing this incorrectly?

csf.fignore is for LF_DIRWATCH only, not LF_DIRWATCH_FILE. There is no functionality in LF_DIRWATCH_FILE to ignore files within a directory structure you've configured it to watch.

I see, thank you.

If is possible to define a directory in LF_DIRWATCH_FILE, but not have it traverse sub directories?

No, it is not. The option is quite a simple offering with no configuration options beyond the listing of resources in csf.dirwatch
