Hi ,

I get this error frequently on my server

Jan 30 08:58:05 <servername> lfd[4473]: *Port Scan* detected from <IP Address> (Location). 11 hits in the last 182 seconds - *Blocked in csf* for 3600 secs [PS_LIMIT]

Can any one give a remedy for this issue??

This is a very common issue, you can't do much with this.

Any one can do a port scan on your server, even mail software do that to find the right ports to use like mac, iphone, ipad, thunderbird and outlook just to mention a few.

If you have your CSF well configured and only have opened the ports needed, then this type of scan is just informative.
