Anti virus with Mailscanner

I am experiencing many problems with virus infected files in spam.
Clamav is not being able to detect them and they finally land on end users' computers.
Do you use any other anti-virus software integrated with Configserver Mailscanner?
Which one do you recommend?
Are there any install/configuration instructions?
Thanks in advance for any help provided.

We have not seen problems with clamav not detecting viruses. Have you kept clamav and the clamav signatures up to date? We do not use any other antivirus software as it is usually not necessary.

Clamav is very well known for not being particularly effective.
I use Clamwin in some of my Windows machines (same database as Clamav for Linux) and it really does not detect many viruses.
Today I have received mails with two different viruses that passed trough my Mailscanner server with Clamav.
The viruses were detected by AVG, Avira and Avast in my windows machine, but not by Clamwin.
I also sent those viruses to
www.virustotal.com and it confirmed the same result as I had: Clamav did not detect them, but the others did.
During all the years that I use Mailscanner I always noticed repeated Clamav failures do detect viruses.
That is why I must use a better anti-virus in my Mailscanner server.
I am 100% sure that most if not ALL of your Mailscanner customers will enjoy learning how to implement a better anti virus software.
Will appreciate if you can indicate how we can make that installation. (Could chirpy Help? Please bring this to his attention)

You can install any virus scanner you like with MailScanner and configure MailScanner to use it. Information and configuration options are in the MailScanner Configuration file which you can access via the WHM front-end if you use that or in /usr/mailscanner/etc/MailScanner.conf. As we only support using clamav with MailScanner, we would not be able to offer any support for using any other anti-virus product with MailScanner.
