MailScanner wont' start after update

I just updated clamav, then MailScanner this morning. I didn't notice any error messages go by but after the update completed, MailScanner will not start. This is on three different servers, the fourth one started ok. How do I trouble shoot this, is there a log somewhere? When I look at the exim_maillog, mail appears to be going through. The MailScanner screen however, says no mail wil be delivered while its down.
