Hi All

I am trying to configure clamd with Mailscanner but it is giving me the below mentioned error and getting delivered to user. Not able to quarantine infected mails. I tried google but was of no help with the answers ...

I am mentioning my details below for your reference ... Please help me to resolve this.

clamd version - 0.97
MailScanner version - 4.70
clamav version - 0.97

Configuration
clamd.conf
LocalSocket /tmp/clamd
Virus Scanners = clamd
Clamd Socket = /tmp/clamd

Mailscanner.conf
Incoming Work User = clamav
Incoming Work Group =
Incoming Work Permissions = 0640
Quarantine User =
Quarantine Group =
Quarantine Permissions = 0600

ERROR
Clamd::ERROR:: UNKNOWN CLAMD RETURN ./lstat() failed: Permission denied. ERROR :: /usr/local/spool/MailScanner/incoming/15013

You seem to have some non-standard configuration there, and have not included all the clamd related settings in MailScanner.conf, so the amount we can help is limited. You also seem to have your mailscanner incoming queue located in a strange place, normally it is / var / spool / MailScanner / incoming/. With that in mind the best thing for you to do might be to uninstall both MailScanner and clamav and reinstall them by carefully following the instructions provided on our website.
