mailscanner bug

mhm . i have been experiencing this thing since a few days with cpanel.

i run mailscanner installation from configserver, and suddenly the nobody tweak from the whm is not active anymore. so user nobody can send mails out.

this is the feedback i got from the cpanel team.

Few problems we found.

1) MailScanner is bypassing some Exim configurations such as "checkspam" which
controls the nobody tweak.

I modified exim.conf to include the "checkspam" router config so Exim will work
correctly with the nobody tweak but MailScanner is still bypassing this.

2) MailScanner systems are not supported by cPanel and we are unable to troubleshoot
this with 3rd party software involved.

If you disable MailScanner then exim can be tested to make sure its working
correctly now.

i just got the following info:

mailscanner stopped, tried sending mail, using a form from the site, using user nobody.

mails did not arrive, but they weren't discarded either, as it should, so i think it still needs some work to be done on it. they stayed in the queue.

when i started mailscanner, mails were delivered, so i strongly believe it is a mailscanner issue.
