Scanning outbound email?
Scanning outbound email?
I'm trying to help out a buddy on a server with the ConfigServer mail scanner installed. He is having some issues with spam and has not tracked it down yet. All of the spam has the same subject and some comment email headers. Is there any way with MailScanner/SpamAssassin/EXIM to filter outbound email by subject or headers?
You could probably do it by a couple of methods:
1. Write your own spamassassin rule and use the MailScanner "SpamAssassin Rule Actions" function to delete those particular emails. First you'd have to configure MailScanner to spam scan outgoing messages, which we don't set it up to do by default.
2. You might be able to do this with some kind of exim filter, but it's beyond my area of expertise. You'd need to check the exim documentation or mailing list for information on how to do this.
Regards,
Sarah
