Global_dyndns option

Chirpy,
I would love to see an option for global support of dyndns like the global allow/deny/ignore:

"GLOBAL_DYNDNS = "htp://server/csf.dyndns"
(had to obfuscate the URL to get past the "only post URL's if you have 5 posts" rule)

Currently I will have to use a cron to download and overwrite the /etc/csf/csf.dyndns file and perform a restart which is far from optimal.

While on the subject of global options, it would be cool to have the ability for a global config for rolling out config adjustments automatically across all servers :)

I've added the idea to the dev list for the future. Great idea :)

Wonderful Chirpy, I love global options personally.
Ever considered Global conf option like:

"GLOBAL_CONF = "htp://server/csf.conf"
(or maybe sections such as the lfd portion?)

Wow Chirpy, nice seeing the following added in the changelog already:

Code: Select all

         Added new options GLOBAL_DYNDNS, GLOBAL_DYNDNS_INTERVAL and
	 GLOBAL_DYNDNS_IGNORE which provide for retrieval of a global DYNDNS
	 list via URL
