Route emails to the ‘SPAM’ folder

Hi Team,
I would like to clarify my position right away.

I'm the customer of a Hosting Provider that has recently adopted “ConfigServer MailScanner” to fight scam.

However, I have some doubts about the operation of ConfigServer MailScanner or its configuration.

I currently set the “Low Scoring Spam” parameter to SpamBox.

Following your documentation, the value “SpamBox” means that any spam mails should automatically be moved to the spam directory of each inbox/account.

Is this correct? Wrong?

Because if I set that value, I simply get emails with changed subject (“{SPAM?}” is added) but they are delivered to the normal inbox. Not in the spam folder of the individual account.

Can you kindly help me understand the operation? Also, if emails are to go into the “spam” folder what guidance can I provide to my provider? Provider that currently seems to be naive....

Thanks
Andrea

Hello,

You need to ask your hosting provider to contact us via our helpdesk to assist them in configuring MailScanner Front-End correctly. There is nothing you can do via the user account interface and no point in trying to educate your provider indirectly through you.

Thank you Sarah for your response.

However, what I am asking is possible? Can spam emails automatically be directed to the “spam” folder of each account?

Yes, it should work. There must be some configuration issue causing it not to work.
