FTP Access and Functionality Enhancement Needed.

Hi, I was wondering when a feature would be enabled in this software to allow for more intuitive FTP connectivity.
Let me elaborate on the specific issue:
I upload/download to a couple of sites. Upgrades of blog software, what have you. The issue that I have come into quite frequently is that after 250 connections the IP I am uploading through essentially is blocked. I understand this is done so as to avoid possible hacks (DoS) HOWEVER, this is highly frustrating when trying to upgrade certain web software suites and the like. My question is, shouldn't there be a function within this serverside application where one can specify a specify an admin login that will circumvent the 250 connection rule when the application sees the admin is trying to upload/download files/data. In having this feature, web admins would not have to go through the process of contacting their webhoster, and saying "Hey, I can't FTP at all could you take my IP off the block list and put it on the whitelist"
To assume that a web admin only uploads/downloads files to their perspective servers from just one computer/IP is kinda silly, and what with dynamic IP being used by a large portion of web admins, it almost would seem like a necessity.
Sorry to be overly passionate, just one of those nagging features that would be nice if added.
Thanks for listening/reading.
