Queue alert and queue interval and script alert

Hello.
After looking at some fresh csf.conf file I detected I was missing some stuff in my own csf.conf files.
Some were logical because they were only for cPanel.
Somewhere on the forums in a very old topic, I read that queue alert/interface was also only for cPanel because this worked with exim.
However, Directadmin is also using Exim mailserver.
Next to that I think script alert could also be used by Directadmin.
So I added them manually to my configurations, but I'm now sure.
Can both queue alert/interval and script alert (with the belonging settings) be indeed also used on Directadmin servers?
Or can one or both not be used? And if not, why not?
