Block Ports only for Email Credential Failures

Hi guys. Been using CSF/LFD for quite a while now and am a big fan, but I have an issue I need help solving.
I have quite a few resellers that find themselves with clients that frequently have incorrect login credentials for either Imap or POP3 services. Since I don't want to disable this protection (obviously) I would like to know any workarounds where the clients will still be able to make it through the system (so they can access their websites and businesses) but possibly block access at email level ONLY they have triggered any of the protections monitored by LFD.
Does this even exist? How would you solve this on your servers?
