Email issue when CSF is activated

Hi Everyone,
We have a strange issue with CSF firewall on our hosting server at the moment.
We are attempting to block specific countries from visiting our client's websites to cut down on attacks.
We have installed CSF without issue and it is blocking countries, but whilst the CSF firewall is activated - one of our clients has an issue connecting to email via his outlook client on his local machine over Pop3 or Imap.
The error he receives is that his outlook email software can't find the server. Confirm if the server exists or the details used to connect are correct.
The issue seems to be intermittent but only happens when the CSF firewall is activated. When we switch it off all returns to normal.
Our hosting support team have checked all logs, but can't seem to see why his email doesn't want to work when CSF is on and asked us to contact here directly incase somebody has seen this issue before.
Any support anyone can provide at this moment in time to resolve this issue would be very much appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Peter.
