distributed SMTP Logins on account
Re: distributed SMTP Logins on account
If their email is being hosted at google, why would google be loggin in to your SMTP server?
Re: distributed SMTP Logins on account
He didn't actually say their email is ''hosted'' by Google.
Why I suspect he meant was they use Gmail to ''read'' from all their various other email accounts elsewhere.

This thread is very old.
If you have an account in your server that have been configured to use an external mail like gmail, you will get false positives that distributed SMTP are coming from gmail. This is not an attack and the best thing to do is to white list gmail's IPs, so they will not get blacklisted. Or, create a cron to release any gmail's IP that is blocked in CSF DENY LIST.
