Found Word(s)

Post by lknmedia »

Can someone tell me where the list of "found words" is so I can edit it? We are getting too many emails triggered as SPAM since this "feature" was introduced.

Thanks.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by "found words". Where exactly are you seeing this phrase? As far as I am aware MailScanner does not mark emails as spam just because they contain certain words, unless you are using MCP (Message content protection). SpamAssassin will simply add to the overall score if it finds certain words.

Thanks for the reply ..

I get subjects like this now ..

[SPAM] - Good email subject here - Found word(s) to stop receiving receiving this email in the Text body

Even if they are in whitelist.

I still get the plain [SPAM] and {Definately Spam?} subjects as well ....

I don't believe it's MailScanner adding that. Are these emails going through an Exchange server? I found some old posts in the MailScanner mailing list about this and it turned out to be some disclaimer software in Exchange.

Found the problem.

We are using Exchange ... but we are also using GFI Mail Essentials and that package was doing a "keyword" scan of all emails and adding to the subject.

Man ... that was driving me crazy ...

Thanks!
