How to whitelist all emails from a domain using subdomains.

Post by BurakUeda »

Here is the problem:
I need to whitelist all emails coming from sampleshop.com. But they use many different subdomains in their emails like:
address@srv1.sampleshop.com
address2@kmln.sampleshop.com

MFE says:
Allowed Format: *@domain.com or name@domain.com or IP address, only one entry per line
But if I enter something like this:
*@*.sampleshop.com, I think filter will ignore the part after second asterisk, and allow everything, correct ?

Anyone have any idea how will I whitelist this sampleshop.com?

Thanks in advance

You should be able to use *@*.sampleshop.com. Did you try it?

Does the domain have an IP address or block of addresses that you can whitelist instead of the domain?

No I didn't try it.
I have to try it in a very busy email hosting server. Thanks to MSFE, thousands of spam mail is blocked. So if I was right, even if I test it for few minutes my customers' inboxes will be flooded with 100's of spam mail.

But if no one knows the answer, I guess I will have to test it.

EDIT: It works!
*@*.sampleshop.com works for all subdomains of sampleshop.com, and not for other domains.

Glad it worked for you. I thought it would.
