My Whitelist IP is block

Post by Gamcar »

Hello,

I'm not sure how to explain my problem but I'll try anyway.

I have a server in Centos 7 and WHM/cPanel.

I am using csf and for some unknown reason my ip address is blocked. However, the ip address is in the whitelist.

Once blocked. I connect with an external pc and erase all the blocks. Everything comes back.

In the logs, I can't find my IP.

I use a NAT configuration.

My IP is whilist in Bruteforce and CSF allow ip

Has anyone experienced this before?

Check if your server is using CPHulk and check in there if your IP is blocked in there.

CPHulk can block your IP even if it is white listed in CSF.

Yes, my IP address is also whitelisted here.

I don't see my IP in any CSF document. The address is in the ignore file and in the allow.

I can't find it even in the logs. When I deactivate CSF, everything works again or if I erase the complete bloks except that I am blocked again 2min later!

Usually CSF sends an email with the info about the blocked IP, What does the email says?

Thank you for your help.

After further checking and analysis of the live logs, I noticed an IP address which is used to operate our NAT network. I did not have the information in relation to this IP.

After doing some connection tests on this IP, I deduced that it was in our network and I unblocked it.

Everything works perfectly now.
