Hello,
I keep seeing a ton of these errors - Failed IMAP login from
They are from me and I am getting mail however I do notice a lot of times it failing.
So I am looking for a solution to either exempt myself (not the best practice) or resolve why so many of my attempts are failing.
Im seeing those messages in the lfd log.
If you need me to provide any additional information feel free to ask.
Thanks for your help!

@mikefarr
Are all those errors comes from the same IP?
Are all the errors from your actual IP?
Check your IP at https://www.whatismyip.com/
If it is your same IP then, you could have a phone or tablet that has your email configured with the wrong password.
If it is an IP from a different country as where you live, chances are that hackers are trying to access your email.
If it is an IP from your own country, check and old computer, phone or tablet that you gave it to someone else and forgot to delete the email on it.

Re: IMAP Login Fails
Yes they are which is puzzling.
Now I have a VPN on my phone that I run but Im still getting my mail.
I do also access my email from multiple devices and have multiple accounts.

Re: IMAP Login Fails
On all the messages check the name of the device that is showing the connection error.
To find the name of the device do:
- check on /var/log/maillog for the IP that is having the issue
- get the name of the device that is on the list
- go to your devices and find the name that you got above
Now look on your devices which one has that name.
