DirectAdmin & InterWorx compatibility with configserver products

Hi,

You all know what cPanel just announced lately regarding unsane price increases, and reactions are extremely bad :

According to me, and the first reactions of web host community, the preffered choice for another panel is actually DirectAdmin (DA) because it is reliable, founded in 2004, has evolved strongly, inclusive new UI.

Indeed, not only the price is a signal, but the bugs/limitations, and the lack of respect of their clients are an unforgivable event. I predict that cPanel will go down in less than 9-18 months bringing down with them all plugin editors that are only cPanel compatible.

The move is going to be historic/drastic, We are starting now preparing a prototype of DA server in which we will have to make things not only equivalent, but also better than cPanel... Summer is going to be hot.

Thus, I kindly ask the board of directors of Configserver to take a strategic/historic decision which is to begin to make compatible versions with DirectAdmin of products CSF, CXS, MSFE. Or, we will have no other choice than using other solutions, whether it be custom or other partners.

We are currently working on integration and support of csf, cxs and osm on several control panels including:

• Directadmin (csf already available supported, cxs already available but not yet supported)

• Webmin (csf already available supported, cxs already available but not yet supported)

• InterWorx - in development

We do not yet have timescales, but the work is currently active.

Wow, thank you so much ! All we needed to know is indeed the principle of the move. Good things take time, so no hurry...

Concerning MSFE which uses mailscanner (and not OSM which monitor only outgoing), I have read that mailscanner alone can work with proper setup :

We use CSF, CXS and MSFE on every CPanel Server.

And we have just launched our first DA Server.

I hope you can also start working on your products for DA, so we can still use the ConfigServer Combo

I'll add a +1 for Interworx here, and maybe down the road centos-webpanel.

centoswebpanel is impressively good, and the top one in term of opensource.

It is already running CSF with no issues at all.

I suggest that CXS/MSFE be also converted

We've released csf v13.00 with InterWorx support and improved DirectAdmin UI.

We've also released cxs v11.00 with official BETA support for both DirectAdmin (RedHat OS's) and InterWorx.

It would be helpful if you could add a DirectAdmin plugin page for resellers helping to unblock any IP address of their customers similar to the same feature that is currently available in cPanel WHM Resellers
