MailWatch without MailScanner
MailWatch without MailScanner
Is it posible to install MailWatch without MailScanner ?

I asked a similar question in the MSFE section (I will try and delete it), but the difference is, if you run mailscanner and just disable scanning would mailwatch work?Sarah wrote:No, MailWatch was specifically created to run on top of MailScanner, it cannot be used without it.

Yes, you can run MailWatch with MailScanner configured to not scan (i.e. under MailScanner Performance in MSFE), but it would still use quite a lot of server resources because MailScanner would still need to process each message in order for it to be logged in MailWatch, so I can't see that it would be a solution for you. Did you try everything suggested in the FAQ with relation to your load issues?
