Hi.
It will be a really nice addition to have a column that shows the CLIENTIP of a message from MailScanner DB,
MailScanner lacks of this and this will help a lot to look in a glance the range of spam IPs.
Also, it will be great that any column could be sorted.

Sergio

Re: New Mail Contro, CLIENTIP column and sort on columns?
That is not possible as there is no such thing as a client IP in SMTP. The only trustworthy IP address is the last Received header record that was added by the servers mail server as it came into the server. Anything before that is trivial to forge and so should be considered meaningless, especially for spam. We could look at adding the last recorded Received: header record (i.e. actually the first Received: header line that you see when viewing headers) to the table if that would help.

Thanks, that will help a lot.
On the other hand, if you see MailScanner Data Base, it has a field called CLIENTIP, that is the last IP received, that is why I was asking for that. But using the last recorded Received header or IP could do the trick.
I really want to thank you for hearing what us (the users) are asking.

Sergio

I've had a look through the MailScanner code it it does appear that the clientip record is indeed the last Received header IP address, so we can use that which will make things quicker.

Great, that is really good news.

can you make the spam score column narrower. It takes up too much space. When you have client IP enabled, the to/from address and subject line gets truncated too much
You could also cut some excess width from date/time column

We've released v7.11 which should address the column width issue.
