Csf stucks on bandmin upto 1 hour

Post by m3rk »

Hi,

I have recently updated csf on all servers. After the latest update the csf is almost stuck. It takes many minutes for blocking an IP and also it takes almost 1 hour for restarting csf. Outage issues are noted on servers after the recent csf update. My questions are the following:

1. is there any issue on the latest csf update you have provided?
2. Is there any way to put csf stopped on booting time. ie csf should not be started automatically on booting. I have tried chkconfig and other possible methods, but no luck. csf is automatically starting on server reboot. Due to this server reboots are nightmares as it takes 45 minutes for csf to getting started on rebooting(stucks on bandmin).

You could try setting LF_BANDMIN to 0 in /etc/csf/csf.conf and then restart csf and then lfd. However, that should have no bearing on blocking IP addresses, only on stopping/starting csf.

Before doing anything, you should check all running processes and kill anything that is running iptables (csf, etc) and then run a csf restart.
