CSF messenger service doesn't work on secure connections

Post by willdashwood »

Hi there,

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's just not possible, but I'm configuring CSF to display a message to IPs that are blocked (awesome feature) and it's working fine for port 80, 2082, 2086 etc but doesn't work on secure connections (2087,2083 etc). I've configured MESSENGER_HTML_IN to "80,443,2082,2083,2086,2087,2095,2096". Am I doing something wrong or does this feature not work on secure connections?

Thanks,
Will

Sorry, didn't spot this line in the readme...
The HTML server does not support SSL connections, so redirecting port 443 will not work.
My bad. Shame as this would be really handy if it did.

And, for solve this, is it possible to redirect to index.html inside public_html folder?
For example, moving /etc/csf/messenger/index.html to /public_html/csf/messenger/index.html
