LFD won't start

Post by Daedalus »

Hello,

Recently I've reinstalled my webserver and I am running into some problems with LFD service.
When I attempt to start the service, I get this following error:
-- Unit lfd.service has begun starting up.
lfd[8138]: csf and lfd have been disabled
systemd[1]: PID file /var/run/lfd.pid not readable (yet?) after start.
systemd[1]: Failed to start ConfigServer Firewall & Security - lfd.
-- Subject: Unit lfd.service has failed
-- Defined-By: systemd
-- Support: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/li ... temd-devel
--
-- Unit lfd.service has failed.
I never experienced this kind of issue and i don't know how to fix this. I know that the PID file is not located at the location "/var/run/lfd.pid". But I dont know what the new location might be.

I am running on Debian 8.1 stable (Jessie) (stable) (64bits)

Thank you.

You would need to check /var/log/lfd.log to see why lfd is not starting.

Thanks for your reply.

I've never started the service on the new installation, so there is no lfd.log in the /var/log folder.

Edit:

I've fixed this issue. the process was located in an other /run/ folder.
