Hello,
Until recently my suggestion was never really an issue. I would receive notification of blocked IP's that I can quickly search in my emails if need be. This has worked for the longest time.
Recently however, I have been receiving thousands of emails with regards to distributed smtpauth attacks. This is generating a lot of needless emails and cluttering my inbox. In an ideal world it would be great to enable/disable lfd notifications on a per service basis. As it stands there is a single option to enable/disable them for all lfd notifications.
Could this be a possible option in the future? Anyone else feel it would be helpful?
LFD: finer grain control over email notifications
Re: LFD: finer grain control over email notifications
+1 for this. We've also seen massive distributed smtpauth attacks (5000+). That's a whole lot of emails

This would also be great,
Having these emails from a few different servers to 1 inbox causes a lot of extra emails.
Being able to disable certain email notifications, or a cooldown on the same email being sent would also be fantastic.
eg, disabling firewall block notifications
or only sending 1 email for the same issue every 24hrs.
From what I can see, the only way to disable these emails or change the frequency is to modify the actual check.

We will add two options for FTP and SMTP distributed attack alerts in the next release.
