So I'm sure that's exactly what's happening. My question is can the users see the impact of this. I have a fair sized server but with one major website that probably should be on it's own server. They are selling videos - not streaming - just video downloads.
I get these messages all the time:
Time: Wed Nov 26 08:56:47 2014 -0500
Account: llpubco
Resource: Process Time
Exceeded: 5423 > 1800 (seconds)
Executable: /usr/bin/php
Command Line: /usr/bin/php /home/...
Which tells me it's probably when someone is downloading a video.
So excessive usage is only about the time the process takes to run? If that's so then it's not an issue unless there are a lot of folks downloading? That website is running a sale right now and I'm also getting high load warnings which would be of greater concern, right?
1 Min Load Avg: 14.81
5 Min Load Avg: 7.43
15 Min Load Avg: 4.52
Running/Total Processes: 4/290
That would be pretty high for sure but I never see it in WHM spiking like that - I may sound stupid by asking if the load averages shown in WHM are exactly what the messages are about. But I need to be sure I'm correct.
I have had situations where the load was much higher than that but visitors could not see any site slowdown so I'm truly wondering about the impact of the higher loads on this particular server.
Excessive Resource Usage
Re: Excessive Resource Usage
I think these are safe to ignore.
