Tons of RELAY Alert emails

Post by Kaidok »

Hey there,

I'm getting TONS of "RELAY Alert" emails for one of my servers and can't for the life of me figure out where they're coming from. The emails state:
=======================================================================
Time: Thu Nov 6 18:22:06 2014 -0800
Type: RELAY, Remote IP - <IP ADDRESS> (US/United States/<forums won't allow me to post any URL>)
Count: 101 emails relayed
Blocked: No

Sample of the first 10 emails:

2014-11-06 18:15:49 1XmZ4p-000193-FI <= root@<forums won't allow me to post any URL> H=<forums won't allow me to post any URL> [IP ADDRESS]:53997 P=esmtps X=UNKNOWN:DHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384:256 S=3113 id=E1XmZ4q-0002Wz-HR@<forums won't allow me to post any URL> T="Process Resource Alert for <forums won't allow me to post any URL>" for <my email address>
=======================================================================

The issue(s) is, the only emails reaching my inbox are the emails alerting me that there's a relay coming off of another server, sending hundreds of emails to my inbox. I'm never actually receiving the emails. The mail queues on both servers are empty.

Anyone know what would prompt something like this?

Thanks!

I am also noticing this on one of the server. The Relay alert is for emails that are coming INTO the system unlike the AUTHRELAY mails where the server is used to send out the mail.

Is there any way to tweak this or is it something to be worried about.
Fairly sure that the alert is not for outbound mail.

Is PRM running on the server?
