Followed this faq

Post by ttremain »

http://www.configserver.com/techfaq/index.php?faqid=44

I followed this faq, and when running the new cron utility I get:

./sa_rules.sh: line 2: /usr/bin/sa-update: No such file or directory
./sa_rules.sh: line 3: /usr/bin/sa-update: No such file or directory
Reloading MailScanner workers:

Is this an old, outdated document?

Did this break something?

You probably did not break anything, but that faq is outdated and you should not even have been able to view it as it is not active. May I ask how you found the faq?

It is no longer necessary to run sa-update via cron job, as cPanel will update the spamassassin rules regularly. You should delete the cron job you created, and delete the file /root/sa_rules.sh.

I followed a link in a forum post.

My concern was the setup script deleted some folders, or at least tried to.

It would not have removed anything that you needed. Anything removed would have been extremely outdated anyway.
