Hi CSF community...
This will be my second question in here. I hope that I am asking to right place.
What is the best settings to prevent DDOS attacks?
Maybe the answer is simple for you, but I am a newbie, am trying to learn VPS and CSF. I've just rented a VPS this week as first time.

Re: What is the best settings to prevent DDOS attacks?
Perfect solution: Unplug the server!
.... Been there, done that .... but not the answer you want I know
For me; the first thing is to
1. Identify the services they are attacking (httpd, ssh, courier/dovecot, ftp etc.)
2. Come up with a CSF strategy that will stop the attacks.
3. Purchase and install cXs (best thing since powdered milk - Truly, it's the best of the best. Not for DDos ... but for what comes after!) on ALL your servers. I did!
I'm hoping the author (J) will soon give me an answer on my firewall question
