csf and Node.js conflict?

Post by edwardsmarkf »

hi all -

i am attempting to use Node.js for the first time. when i try to run the script, it triggers this firewall blockage:

Apr 29 12:21:41 edwardsmarkf kernel: Firewall: *TCP_IN Blocked* IN=eth0 OUT= MAC=52:54:00:63:76:ee:00:03:fe:a0:b8:00:08:00
SRC=54.219.207.198
DST=199.231.184.26
LEN=52
blah blah blah
DF PROTO=TCP
SPT=2460
DPT=8080
WINDOW=8192
RES=0x00
SYN URGP=0

it does not seem to matter which port i choose. i am still getting blocked.

is there any way to "authorize" a port in the firewall, or do i have to go through apache to do this?

hmmm sorry i probably should have researched this first before bothering people in this forum.

i need to edit /etc/csf/csf.conf and add the ports -- my apologies.
