All of our servers have been banned from fetching spamhous blocklists because lfd was trying every 30 minutes on drop/edrop.
Please note I do not mean the download frequency setting in the csf.blocklist file, I mean the internal retry rate on download failures.
They clearly state do not download more than once per hour in their faq.
Please set the internal retry to 61 minutes or give us an adjustable setting?
In fact it seems to retry every 29 minutes, not even 30 minutes based on the time markers in the log.
I have no problem with all blocklists having a 61 minute retry instead of 29, it's probably a good idea since several sites insist on that.
Thank you.
Now I have to go figure out a way around the block, unfortunately google does not cache the lists.

We'll look into it. In the meantime you can change line 1153 in /etc/csf/lfd.pl:
Change 1800 to something you find more suitable, e.g. 7200 (2 hours). Then restart lfd.
Code: Select all
if ($blocklisttimeout >= 1800) {

This should now be resolved in csf v6.34:
