Edit ConfigServer Firewall - Doesn't work

Post by r4nm4 »

Hi,
I've installed the "ConfigServer Security & Firewall - csf v6.08" plugin on cPanel.
It's very beautiful plugin! The option "Check Server Security" it's amazing!

I'm sorry, but I've an a problem with the option "Edit the configuration file for the csf firewall and lfd".
When I changed the option value, for example "TCP_IN" and "TCP_OUT" value and click on the "Change" botton,
the plugin save the new value, but the new IPTables rules doesn't work.

I want close port 21.
I write:

# Allow incoming TCP ports
TCP_IN = 20,22,25,53,80, more...
TCP_OUT = 20,22,25,37,43,53,80, more...

But the port 21 it's always open. Why?
How can I do?

I'm so so so sorry for my english :(

Thank you!!!
Best regards

You should also delete 20 from that list.

What indication do you have that 21 is still open.

Is your IP listed in csf.allow?
